Education

  • have at least a bachelor's degree;
  • take approved coursework for dietitians;
  • complete a practicum

  • Work Monday through Friday. However, nutritionists at hospitals or nursing homes may work weekends.

  • Be able to choose between management, clinical, community or consulting positions.

  • Sit or stand for long periods of time.

  • evaluate patients and design their diets
  • Speak clearly so listeners can understand.
