PHARMACY AIDES will:
help maintain patient profiles, which are files that give a patient's medication history and are often stored on a computer
have good interpersonal skills
have the ability to work as part of a team
PHARMACY AIDES frequently:
greet customers, answer the telephone, and handle money.
fill out insurance claim forms.
stock incoming supplies
clean and maintain pharmacy equipment
ring up sales on the cash register
It is important that PHARMACY AIDES be able to:
prepare prescription labels using a computer
mix, package, and label pharmaceutical products under the direction of a pharmacist
constantly interact with customers and patients.
