PSYCHIATRIC TECHNICIANS will:
Provide nursing, psychiatric, and personal care for clients.
Fill out admissions forms when new clients arrive.
Interview new clients and their families.
PSYCHIATRIC TECHNICIANS frequently:
Help develop therapy treatment plans and act as leaders in group counseling sessions.
Teach clients basic living and working skills.
It is important that PSYCHIATRIC TECHNICIANS be able to:
Observe clients and write reports about their behavior.
Check clients' temperature, respiration, and pulse, accurately.
Keep daily records of the physical condition of clients.
Have good communication skills; and
work well under pressure.
