Education

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Complete a surgical technology program
  • Hours

  • May work part time or full time, but most work 40 hours a week.
  • May be on call or work nights, weekends, or holidays on a rotating basis.
  • SURGICAL TECHNOLOGISTS will:
  • help with operations.
  • work under the supervision of surgeons and nurses.
  • help the surgical team scrub and put on gloves, gowns, and masks.

  • set up, adjust, and check non-sterile equipment to be sure it works properly.
