Education

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Associate’s Degree in veterinary technology
  • Complete On-the-job Training (Most train through two-year programs.)
  • Hours

  • Generally have a set schedule each week.
  • May work part time or full time, but most work 40 hours a week.
  • May work days, evenings, weekends, or holidays. Some research labs and animal hospitals are open 24 hours.
