Education

To work as a motorboat mechanic, you must:
  • have a high school diploma or GED;
  • complete a formal training program, usually an associate’s degree in Small Engines;
  • complete on-the-job training.
  • Hours

  • Usually work 40 hours a week. They often work fewer hours in the winter.
  • May travel to docks and marinas.
